LG announced today that more than five million LG-KP500 "Cookie" Mobile phones have been snapped all over the world since its launch nine months ago. The slim and lightweight phone, LG Cookie is fully equipped with most of the important functions of the premium in full touch screen phone, including the 3.0 megapixel camera, accelerometer and 3D User Interface Active Flash widget with live icons that provide easy access to commonly used functions ."Reaching five million units in sales in just nine months is proof that we are on track with our goal to Cookie phone is loved by all," said Dr. Skott Ahn, President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. "Our strategy to provide full touchscreen phone at an affordable price succeeded beyond our original expectations. If the present trend continues, we expect to see cookie sales hit 10 million by the end of this year."
LG has also extended the offer by the addition of 10 new original four colors - black, Vandyke brown, gold and silver anodized elegant - available to run the phone.
