The Cyber-shot DSC-TX1 is the latest addition to the Sony range of ultra-thin and stylish, compact digital cameras. TX1 is not just another incremental update, however, because it contains a new 10 megapixel "Exmor R" back-illuminated CMOS image. This new technology promises to significantly improve low-light, which in cleaner images with less noise. Having a metal body, sliding front panel and folded optics lens for Sony TX1 measures just 14.1mm thick whilst offering 35-140mm equivalent 4x zoom lens, 3-inch rear-sensitive screen, Super SteadyShot optical image stabilization, face and smile detection technologies, ISO 3200 and intelligent scene recognition.
Sony TX1 also has a permanent serial number to 10 frames per second at full resolution, panorama mode, Sweep extra wide landscapes and 1280x720 pixels 720p HD movie recording with stereo sound and HDMI output. Available in silver, gray, pink and blue, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX1 currently sells for around $ 380 / £385.
